The Extraordinary Form community will move to St. Joseph parish as of September 1, 2019.

  • With this change, Fr. Pat is proposing (still open to discussion) Mass Times will change to 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and the Extraordinary Form will have the 11:00 a.m. time.
  • Saturday will remain the same.
Weekday masses are to be determined.
  • St. Joseph plans to host a welcome reception for the Latin Mass Community on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
  • We will be making changes to the sanctuary to include communion rails and welcoming the Extraordinary Form community permanently into St. Joe as parishioners!

Second, the current rectory is not sufficient to house two priests. We are looking for another house close in the neighborhood, if available or build a new house on campus.

  • The parish library is going to be divided into two offices.

Our school building is in need of attention. Denish Kerschen of The Law Company, Inc has assessed the building and recommends renovating this building that has good bones. Father proposes starting a capital campaign by 2021 to be able to refurbish the school building. It's going to take hard work and sacrifice. The walls are good and the building solid. Architects have come and are putting together a plan.

Andrew Purcell spoke about the youth of our parish and asked parishioners to pray for our youth.

Judi Scheidler's introduced Christ Life which will start at St. Joseph parish this fall. This seven-week course starts on September 4th. Think of it as a soul-adjustment by the Holy Spirit. Stay tuned for more information and sign-up.

Bishop's Pastoral Plan
  • Evangelization
  • Renewal of Stewardship Way of Life
  • Reclaim Sunday as the Day of the Lord

Start by inviting those you know who have fallen away to come back to Sunday Mass or parish and Catholic events.

Dear Parents of St. Joseph Catholic School and PSR Students:

This summer we will be hosting our first ever Totus Tuus program. The program is 5 days in length and is offered to those students in Grades 1 through 6 for the 2019-2020 school year in the morning and for students in middle school and high school in the evening.

Grades 1-6: July 22nd - 26th, 9:00am - 3:00pm

Middle school & High school: July 21st-25th, 7:30pm – 9:45pm

This year’s curriculum is “2019: The Sacraments and The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary".

The Program begins at 9:00 a.m. each day and concludes at 3:00 p.m.  Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. and daily confessions before Mass.  The school facilities are available for the Totus Tuus Program only; therefore no latchkey childcare follows the program.  Please make arrangements to pick up your child(ren) promptly at 3:00 p.m.

Each student needs to bring a sack lunch daily.  St. Joseph will provide the drinks throughout the day.  To assist with the snack time, each student is asked to bring one package of store-bought cookies or a box of snack crackers on the first day of the program.

On Friday, the last day of the program, the teachers have special activities planned for the students that always prove to be fun and exciting.

Pre-registration is encouraged, as class sizes are limited.  As the date of TOTUS TUUS approaches, students from other area parishes will also be invited to attend as space is available. Watch for further updates in the Church Bulletin and our Facebook page.  The cost of the day program is $10 per student or $20 for a family. The middle school and High school program is free of charge. Should this fee create a financial burden for your family, please let us know so that arrangements can be made.  This fee is used to help cover the cost of the TOTUS TUUS team as well as the materials used during the week.  To pre-register your child, complete the attached registration and waiver forms and return them with the registration fee to the church office.  The office will also have a supply of extra registration forms, if needed.

If you have questions, or would like to volunteer to assist with the program, please contact Bridget Sublett at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by calling the church office.  We are looking forward to seeing your child(ren) at Totus Tuus this summer.

If there is a child in your neighborhood or someone you know who is not attending a Catholic school or church, please prayerfully consider printing off an extra registration form for their family and invite their children to Totus Tuus. It could be a wonderful way to open the door to evangelization.
